MOD Abbeywood, East Filton
MOD Abbey Wood, which we write as Abbeywood, is in East Filton in north Bristol. It is the base of Defence Equipment and Support and the Submarine Delivery Agency. It opened in July 1996 with about 5,500 staff, and about 8,500 worked there before 2020.
Filton Abbey Wood station is next to the site. Trains do not suit every flight time, and a pre-booked car suits early departures and late arrivals. The A38, M32 junction 1 and M5 junction 16 are close.
